Dream-like prose. Highly enjoyable. Fun mystery

A fun and interesting read. This is one of those annoying yet philosophical books that always asks more questions than it answers. This makes it both frustrating and powerful, and well worth reading.

It can be difficult to both read and review books where parts of the book have entered the popular culture. In this case it would be Shangra-La.

The plot of the book is modern but readers may find the pace of the book slow. I was disappointed because I felt there was more of a mystery than the book explained. There might be a good sequel to the book for some modern writer to attempt.
