The story gets really picks up steam in the second half, but the first half feels more like it stumbles a bit through the plot points

Fast, fun read with time travel and love-lost and found family. I loved it! And also - too many declarative statements from the main character, not enough time travel, and the character felt younger than her age.
I did enjoy that the main character didn’t work it all out on her own; that other people figured out more than she did and that she needed others to create the change in the world.

i read this book for the first time back in 2020 and at the time i had a few critiques and gave it 4.5 stars. this is what i said back then: https://strangestoryteller.com/2020/10/03/book-review-the-space-between-worlds-by-micaiah-johnson/

idk what it was about rereading it, if it was because i knew what to expect, but i loved it even more the second time. and now on to the sequel!
