I absolutely love this series and this is another wonderful one in it, if not the best one. I love how the author was able to show different disabilities and the problems people can face with them on a daily basis. The book was definitely a full round of emotions of every kind and had me in it's grips from the beginning. Even at the end with the HEA the author shows that through every relationship, but especially those with mental disabilities, there will always be rough days ahead. I strongly recommend this book. If you haven't read the series, I recommend you do, they can be read as standalone completely with no issues, but this is one series you'll want to read start to finish because they are that good.

This one was heavy and emotional but very good at the same time.
I really liked both characters and believed in their struggles.

Scratcher was an enjoyable read. Micah and Ryan are two broken characters who struggle daily with factors in their life that they can control. This book is really showing how if someone matters to you, you will do anything to be able to be with them. It’s a matter of compromises. I enjoyed reading the friendships these characters have. They truly are a family no matter what. EM Lindsey has a wonderful way of writing heroes with troubled pasts but allow them to find their happy ending. I truly enjoyed reading this book and can’t wait for more of this series!

I appreciate the loving, compassionate representation of physical disabilities in this series but the mental ones are something else altogether. I understand that the series doesn't represent everyone's experience, and may not even represent anyone's experience fully but it does give a glimpse of what the disorders could be like and that's valuable. I loved Micah and I also loved Ryan as a dad, so this is one of my favorite books in this series.

There were a few misspellings sprinkled throughout and I thought it was weird that the author called out Micah's name as being "strange for a down-home Southern boy" being that it's a biblical name, but these were nothing more than very minor distractions.
