Child death is probably the only trigger that I don’t feel like I can handle, particularly with as much focus on it as there seems to be in the second half of this book. So, I’m choosing to not finish after a little over half the book. Maybe I’ll finish it at a later point, when my own son is not so close in age to Gage. I was intrigued by a lot of aspects in the first half of the book, but also bored by several parts of it.

I really enjoyed 'Pet Sematary', and thought it was really creepy, especially towards the end of the book. I thought the overall question this book was asking was interesting. It really makes you think.
"Would you do anything to bring back your loved ones?"
This book deals heavily with the topic of grief, so it's not for everyone. But, if your looking for a good horror novel, this is for you!

Overall I enjoyed this book, the only thing stopping me from giving it a 4 is that I didn’t catch feelings for the characters with the exception of Jud.

A real cult classic. Absolutely loved it, but a wee bit predictable. As the owner of two cats and a self professed crazy cat lady, this quote was one of my favourites:

" he's my cat! He's not God's cat! Let God have his own cat! Let God have all the damn old cat He wants, and kill them all! Church is mine!"
