This was terrible.
I hate that I even paid 99p for this.
The characters were just horrible. I didn't like any of them and seriously British people do not talk like these characters!

There were parts of this story that tore at my heart so much I thought that I would ugly cry. Interesting and heart warming.

I enjoyed the story for the most part. It flowed very nicely and kept me eager to see what happened next.

I found the characters extremely melodramatic. The reason the MC stayed away and didn't even SPEAK to her family seemed a little flimsy, but then, their reaction to her at the reveal was pretty over-the-top too. Yet, the instant she gets home, it's fairly smooth sailing.

Could do without the sex shaming. There's nothing inherently disrespectful to your body or degrading with having sex when it's your choice.

The man who got life without the possibility of parole for attempted rape and battery just made me laugh. That doesn't happen.

But, overall, it was a fine and interesting read.

I made myself finish this book-although that entailed skipping and skimming huge passages. I hope I never read the word chuckled again!

idk about this book. was not ready for the angst that i was about to experience. there was a lot of miscommunication that could have solved a lot for characters way earlier. female main character was unable to tell anyone what she wanted and male main character kind of had a weird vibe because he kept saying “oh your like my sister,” even though he said he loved her the whole time.

This book left me feeling rather gutted at times...seriously on the verge of tears. It was a really good read. I sympathized with Lane so much. There was one part that was a bit out of no where but it did help with the storyline. I’d recommend this one for sure!

WOW! Just WOW! I don't believe there is any word in the English language or any language for that matter, that can aptly describe the torrent of emotions that you feel while reading Lane and Kale's story. This book completely, totally and irrevocably SHATTERED me! I am WRECKED! My feelings ANNIHILATED! This book was moving and wonderfully written from word one. I have read several books and in all my years I have a scant few that I can honestly say moved me, helped me, healed me and is a story that I will NEVER forget...This book is ONE of those books. This book had everything and I mean everything. I cried and laughed and I saw me, as Lane. I felt every one of her moments and I can honestly say that I know exactly how she felt. Uncle Harry touched me on a personal level, for I too, lost my favorite Uncle earlier this year. It hurt too much and I had just experienced too many losses to stand and bravely lose another one. I want to thank Ms. Casey. Thank you, for with this book, I found some closure and I found that I am going to live my life to the fullest. Uncle Harry was wiser and smarter than Lane thought and he knew that his death would bring her home again. Back to the family that loved her and back into the arms of her very best friend, Kale. I don't want to give away too much but suffice it to say, a box of tissues and free time to absolutely and thoroughly enjoy this phenomenal story of life and a second chance at friends to lovers to forever.

LA Casey has done it once again! A heartfelt second chance romance that literally takes a death to make happen again. Best friends to lovers to unrequited love and then back again I swooned from the moment that I read “Laney Baby.” With twists that I didn’t really see coming I fell in-love all over again with another set of characters written by this amazing author. MUST READ!!
