I did enjoy this book in many ways, the story was good and for a sequel it was interesting.
For me though, there was too much time spent focusing on various substance abuses for the main character and it made for a lot of boring chapters.
Kevin Brooks is a good writer, no doubt about that but this novel didn't really seem to go anywhere and even when truths and what have you were uncovered, it still felt unresolved and leaves you feeling dissatisfied with the results.
