Ahhh, this was so cute. So many of my favourite tropes: only one bed, grumpy/sunshine, forced proximity, a couple of idiots pining after each other. This is exactly the kind of story I mean when I say ‘no plot, just vibes’ and Cat Sebastian is a master at it. It was so warm and soft and tender and I just adored every page. I loved reading these two fall in love on their road trip and find a place to belong with one another. It was lovely to see prickly Caleb open up to Peter and allow himself to be vulnerable without losing his grumpiness. And Peter was just the perfect pairing for Caleb, so kind and understanding and giving. It’s understandable how Caleb’s dislike quickly turned into wanting to protect him at all costs.

Moderate: Homophobia and Panic attacks/disorders
Minor: Car accident, Classism, Emotional abuse, Death of parent, and Suicidal thoughts

even though this had too much sex and instalove for my personal taste, peter and caleb are living rent free in my mind <3
was weirdly apolitical for a book about the son of a politician but i didn't expect otherwise tbh
also this was the first time i read the phrase "toeing off his shoes" in a PUBLISHED BOOK and it made me giggle

I really adored the characters in this one! Everything felt so organic and lovely and I really enjoyed it. Much better than the first one in this series. as I felt there was a lot more development of the characters.
