This was soooo gooddd! It gave me Lord of the Rings and Dragonlance vibes but it's totally it's own. The way the story flowed, the world and the characters were perfect and it ended on a cliffhanger and I'm just like jskakfjdkksjsjs

3.5 stars. Slow to start, this was a fairly “generic fantasy” to begin with. The battle scene was well-described, however, and honestly made the book better because of it. I definitely see a lot of similarities between this and Tolkien’s works. However, it was still a decent read.
