this book was so painfully unfunny and outdated despite being published only a few years ago. akin to parody movies of the mid 2000's but somehow even less enjoyable. it lacked any redeeming qualities within the characters or the sorta kinda there (but barely) plot. it didn't read as subversive or satirical it was just boring and again, exhaustively unfunny.  i hated every second of this book and had it not been for my book club, i would have put this book down immediately after reading the first chapter and never looked back.
