This one was a novella
So it wasn’t as dramatic as the rest of the series but I will still so invested in the characters!

My only complaint is that it was too short and didn’t have enough character development. I wanted more tension, but with a novella I can’t blame ya!

I'm biased and I tend to hate novellas, so that's why this got a lower review. Still not a fan of all the male leads being promiscuous. I think probably because it's mentioned constantly. Also, not a fan of taken men that we've met talking about past hook ups. *cough* Looking at you Walker. *cough*

I am a sucker for a second chance romance. This story struck me in the feels as well. I couldn't help but to root for Kallie to let go of her insecurities and past hurt and let Cross back in her heart. I was a little irritated with Kallie for jumping to conclusions and making assumptions again, but thankfully she came to her senses.

I absolutely loved Cross so much - the fact that he was doing things around the house for Kallie's mom to help her out made me swoon so hard, especially after all these years. He is an all around good and decent guy and it is obvious that he has changed from the way he used to be. He is fun, flirty, and you can practically picture his crooked grin that I'm sure melts everyone's hearts.

I also enjoyed the short stories that were included in the back of this novella.

Second-chance romance in the land of the Gibson Boys? Yes, please. CROSS takes place not long before CRANK, Addy's most recent release, and the first in her Gibson Boys series. So, we get to see many of the characters that we already know and love, PLUS, one sexy boxer named Cross Jacobs.

Second-chance love stories are some of my favorite, and when it's got characters that I know and love, and is written by an author that is one of of my go-tos, I know that I'm going to love what I'm reading. Addy has the ability to craft stories that always draw me in, and Kallie's and Cross's story is no exception. Having read CRANK, I was already completely invested in the folks on Linton, Illinois, and getting to go back for another visit was a treat. Kallie and Cross are two people that are just meant to be together, and, once they start to communicate and appreciate what they have in each other, there's no keeping them apart.

CROSS is a n easy 4.5 star read for me, and I am happy to recommend it, and the reset of the books in Adriana's Gibson Boys series as well.

Great short/novella

Novellas are always hard, because if they’re any good I want so much more from them. That’s how I felt and Cross and Kallie’s story. I’m invested and I want to know more about them, but I’m also satisfied with what little I’ve learned and the happy ending. I can’t wait to read Crave!
