4.5⭐️.

A solid 4.5/5! I think Abby Jimenez is my new favourite romance writer. This is the 3rd book I’ve read of hers (I’ll be honest I read The Friend Zone so long ago that I don’t even remember what it’s about - I’ll probably reread), and I totally ate it up! I find her writing to be less cheesy than your average romance book, and has a bit more substance with subplots including more serious topics. I’m not sure I’ll ever give a romance book a full 5/5 because I find them a bit predictable, but I still loved it nonetheless!

Part of Your World has been a buzzy book on the bookish Internet for years, and I finally picked it up. Once I did, I couldn't put it down and I was done 29 hours later. It was my first read from Abby Jimenez and her writing style was funny, sweet, and so easy to devour. It was just what I needed between darker reads, and I cannot wait to read the next two books in this series.

Pros:
-Daniel is the best. What an amazing MMC.
-Just enough humor to balance the weightier topics.
-Wakan, the town, is almost a character of itself and I loved it.
-Family can be who you choose, damn straight Abby.

Cons:
-I wanted more explicit character growth for Alexis over the course of the book versus rushed at the end.

CW: DV, verbal abuse, toxic family dynamics

3.5 stars!

Very sweet and feel good read. Reminds me very much of the Netflix show Virgin River. I appreciated that none of the main characters had to sacrifice their entire life/personality/ambition etc just to make it work with eachother.
It was also great to see underrepresented forms of abuse highlighted and given the “respect” it deserves.
