me ? actually enjoying this book ? hath hell frozen over

ok but the last half took me weeks to read and ofc that’s when it got interesting. there isn’t really much to go off from this book, all the other guys were super underdeveloped compared to like the top three we knew were making it and i’m still so sad about kile

A very disappointing end to the Selection series

Another solid 4.

Eady continues her quest with only a handful of guys - only one of which was a bit of a surprise to me - but it was pretty obvious from the start who she really wanted. Actually, it was kind of obvious later in the previous book and of course it's the one she can't actually have.

I guess I don't really know what to say about this one. I knew who she wanted and knew she would choose him in the end, it was just a matter of how it got there.

Again, this was better than the first run because there was more at stake, but it didn't knock my socks off.

I am so tired of these 200-page books where every dilemma is magically resolved in the last 12 pages. Had the author written 300-400 pages, we could've had some honest-to-god character development. It took a lot for me to step out of my magical realism bubble, and I feel like I have to retreat back. Maxon & America should have had 4 books. Eadlyn should have had 3 books. They should've been separate series. The 20-year time gap mid-series is NUTS, and all the endings are such a rush job. It feels like when a TV show gets cancelled mid-airing, so they rush to fit all of the plot into the end. Not even a novella to iron things out? We're just a constitutional monarchy now? I'm tireddddddddd
