The Crown had a promising start, and I appreciated how it explored new aspects of royal duty, personal identity, and the pressure of leadership elements that were less prominent in the earlier books. Eadlyn’s character showed more maturity this time, and it was nice to see her becoming more aware of the people around her and the impact of her choices.

However, as the story built toward its conclusion, it started to feel rushed. Some important plot threads were resolved too quickly or brushed over, and the ending, while sweet in concept, didn’t feel fully earned or satisfying. It left me wanting more depth, especially considering this was the final book in the series. Still, it was an enjoyable read overall and a decent conclusion to the world of The Selection.
