Letters from an author to an author that are still relevant 100 years later! The book inspired me to think about how things have changed 100 years later (and how they haven't). Letters provide deep insight into Rainer Maria Rilke's soul.

I feel like highlighted everything. Rilke’s writing is so special to me and that fact that this collection of letters was actually sent to someone is so incredible. He was just writing to his friend and it is the most beautiful life advice I’ve ever read! I I beg everyone, poet or not, to read this book.

An amazing and profound set of letters written ahead of their time—Rilke, although a poet in name, demonstrates his inexplicable tendency towards philosophy with ease of word. With the discussion of topics including loneliness and solitude, Rilke captures his own mind with the language of someone who would seem to have lived a millennium.
