This book was intense right from the start! Having read some of the Aegis Group books I had kind of pegged the type of story I could expect & given that I've enjoyed them all I was happy with that! However, this book was a surprise. It had a more erotic, gritty feel than the others while still showcasing the emotions and connections of the characters that she does so well. Would gladly & eagerly read more from this series.
I liked this well enough to read the rest of the series. It's a novella so the story in long but the setup was good if Bristol had decided to do a longer book.

I know this is listed as Erotica but, quite frankly, that part fell a bit flat. Every time the sexual tension started to ramp up a bit one or both main characters started to laugh or giggle. Oh, and Odalia 'Stomps' her feet in every sex scene. What the HECK?! Added to this problem is how jumpy the story is and the odd wording used. Even the erotic parts are jumpy and way off. All this makes it very hard to read and interrupts the flow.
You get just enough of Odalia and Jacques to want to get to know them more and to want to like them. You just don't get enough of them to actually connect to them in any way.
This one had a lot of potential, but the whole thing needs to be rewritten.

Officer Odalia Foucheaux didn’t realize when she had posed in a session restrained and pushed beyond her limits, that someone would steal the camera. Bounty Hunter Jacques Savoy knows Odalia will try to handle this on her own, but there is something between them and he plans to be the man she can trust.
Engaging story, the chemistry was off the charts. Jacques was sensual and hard all at once. I liked that Odalia was not a typical sub, she is head strong as well posing a challenge for Jacques. Very entertaining.
