I wanted to get into the Moomin franchise, so I decided to start with this short, initial installment of the series. It was somewhat darker and interesting in a different way than expected, but also not that engaging. A good intro to the world, looking forward to find out more about it.
😍 The good:
I liked the addition of the graphics, they were quite nice and iconic, and the characters were quite fun and likeable. The story was definitely a good reminder of childhood, but I also felt like it drew upon darker elements, like meeting new friends, looking for family members, being kind and sticking with each other in hard times.

😅 The not-so-good:
The story was a bit slow and chaotic at times, despite the low number of pages. Quite the usual kids' story, nothing that uncommon (I liked the various references, though).
