Seemed like a good time to read this and a good place to start educating myself on communism. Other recs are appreciated!

i read this after i read progress and poverty and this isn’t as convincing. the distinction between wealth created by labor and wealth created by the monopolization of land is a glaring hole in this book

At least I tried to read it 🤷‍♀️

I will follow the example of some and not give a rating.

The Communist Manifesto’s influence (or rather, Marx’s influence in general) is undeniable. Overall, perhaps the Manifesto is the easiest way in which individuals can get acquainted with Marx’s ideas. Admittedly, the language used can be very confusing, so I’d advice reading an annotated version or the Genius U version I found online. Some of its extracts describe political situations that have long ceased to be relevant, which can make the text seem rather obsolete, but there are moments of penetrating insight that deeply challenge its readers and prompt them to rethink their point of view and personal beliefs. Overall, for those who wish to promote or critique Communism, reading this is a must.

Well, at least people on Twitter will respect me now.

Read it cover to cover twice. Didn't get it.
Fuck marx
