okay wowww this book kept me on the edge of my seat!! super intriguing plot and a perfectly crafted thriller… possibly holly jackson’s best — though that might be premature since i still have yet to read five survive… and this is only her fourth book (kill joy being a short story).

the only issue i had with this book was the third act, which is reminiscent of as good as dead (ifykyk), and i didn’t really appreciate that resolution as well.

aside from that, i absolutely loved the rest of the book! it hooks you from the first few chapters and is like the only thing that you’ll be thinking about and want to be reading. i also love the cover and concept of my edition!! 🎬🎞️🌟🩸

Holy shit. Holy shit. Holy shit. And here I was, thinking Holly couldn’t write an even more awesome book. The twists and turns this book took were just something else. No wonder she said this was her favorite. Though I did start looking around my room for any hidden cameras cuz Bel was just a little too much relatable in my opinion. Also the way you think this is just a me vs her thing and then it turns into a story about mothers and daughters and the bonds between them? Ugh, I love it.
