I really enjoyed this book. As a leadership book, the first half was fantastic. General Powell gives some really great insight into how he leads that was quite profound. The last half of the book was a combination of anecdotes and general wisdom. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire book and highly recommend it.
The very simple prose is a tribute to the coauthor not trying to change General Powell's voice. However it makes it a little tedious to get through at first. I really enjoyed the latter part of the book which is more memoir than rules for success.

This guy seems to be famous and people know him but I have know idea who he is. The book was decent.
I liked his personal afterward where he talked about producing the audiobook. And his bit on hotels.
"Hope is a bad supper but makes a good breakfast."
"Why would you want to wear someone else's t-shirt you are your own brand where your own t shirt."

All in all, a nice book. I found a number of good leadership points throughout the narrative. I also thought Powell finished with a bit of self-aggrandizement, particularly toward the end of the book.
