adventurous dark reflective medium-paced

It was fine ig. I can respect it for the legacy it holds but I have 0 intention of reading anymore of the series as it wasn’t mind blowingly great for me.

Why did Val & Ender’s dialogue sound so much like Cathy & Chris from Flowers in the Attic?

It’s a tells a compelling story on the military industrial complex grooming kids for future wars. As well as using the next generation as a scapegoat for acting out the older generation sins.

I finished the entire novel in two sittings, and would have finished it in one if I didn't have a job.

It's an excellent book from an author I grew to respect from reading his website before ever having read any of his novels. This is only the first I have read by OSC, but it will not be the last.

Sidenote: This is his website. He has a ton of advice for aspiring writers there, and he also reviews/praises Serenity, saying "I'm not going to say it's the best science fiction movie, ever. Oh, wait. Yes I am."
