A simple story with art that is spare with a dark fairytale ambiance.

Even without the cliffhanger I want more of this series. I want to see more of Shiva and Teacher’s story, whether it's slice-of-life or focused on the serious plot. I just want to read more of this. The artwork is gorgeous, the themes and tones of the story and characters are so good; I'm hooked.

A spooky, sad, but also strangely beautiful manga.

I needed a book for my Copy Cat Challenge at my group, a book to replace another book that wouldn't come in. I decided to go for this one as it also fitted my Halloween theme perfectly!

I know I already tried this manga a few months ago, not sure why I didn't continue any further. But on the one hand I am glad, as that meant I could read it at this time.

There is a curse, there is a little girl who is seemingly free of the curse, and there is a cursed being who takes care of this girl. See their daily lives, see how the cursed being is trying to take care of the girl, while also trying to solve the mystery of why she isn't cursed, and also to keep her happy. The little girl is still waiting for her grandma to pick her up. We the readers all know that she will never come (though I have to say it would be fun if grandma would suddenly appear, well, I say fun, but I would be suspicious as well).

The book is pretty sad, as we can see that there are no humans anywhere (or at least not in the part the girl and her caretaker are). The girl is all alone. :(

We also have a few chapters with soldiers, soldiers from a part of the country that is safe from the curse. While I was happy that we saw some other people.. I wasn't at all happy with those soldiers. They would do THAT to a poor little girl. I get that they are afraid, but this is just ridiculous. That poor thing just wanted to know about her grandma and you want to do x? Arghhh.

I do hope we find out a bit more about the curse. What it entails, how it spreads, when did it start? Then there are enough questions about the little girl.

The art is pretty gorgeous. It is simplistic, but it works like a charm.

All in all, I will be continuing this manga as I have so many questions, plus I just love seeing the little girl and her caretaker go through their daily lives.

Creepy and dark with lots of horror undertones. This story has more questions than answers at the moment, but I'm interested. The art isn't truly to my taste, but it does help keep the book creepy.

This is done at a slower pace and what the progression of the plot will be isn't truly divulged yet, but the questions are what make me want to come back.
