The Devil Takes You Home by Gabino Iglesias is a page-turner! I developed such a strong bond with Mario and wanted him to come out stronger. Sadly, when you get dealt the hand Mario was dealt with - especially being a person of color, things don't go that way if you don't stay and fight. So sad to let go of this one, but it was a good read with a lot of relatable content. Highly recommend. 

also, the ending where he ended up killing his friend based on fear... gutted.

Gabino knows how to get your emotions involved.

I enjoyed this right all the way up until the twist ending. Don't know how I feel about that last chapter, honestly. 100% I get why it's ended that way, it just kind of left me feeling empty? I'm not sure.
