This book is the perfect addition to Julia Quinn's repertoire of witty dialogues and family banter. The scenes with the younger cousins of Daniel had me laughing out loud so many times. Sprinkle that with the musicales and whatever awkward situation it can generate and I had myself a very funny book indeed.
As usual, Anne doesn't feel worthy, she tries to free Daniel of the percussions from a relationship with her, but she can't stay away (she doesn't try very hard) and they keep being thrown at each other (maybe not so much thrown but more like she's being 'chased' by him all the time). He won't give up, he knows they are meant to be.
Just like her other books, Julia is magical when creating a range of support characters who love and help the main couple, and this sense of community is what helps them overcome their challenges giving me the happy ending I always want.

This was my least favorite of the series

Warm and funny, brimming with charm and featuring characters able to laugh at their rather overly melodramatic circumstances. Could have been lovely with a bit less face-stabbing and all that.
