The only reason I'm taking a half star off is for how much sex is in this book. For someone who doesn't like to read sex, I skipped probably 1/5 of the books. However, what I did listen to was super sweet, well written, and introspective for anyone who has religious trauma, sexual trauma, and familial issues of any sort. Well done, Ms Lynne. I will continue to watch the webseries this book is based on with new understanding of the background and appreciation for how much work is out into each character.

I knew this book would be amazing because I have loved Jaysea's skits on TikTok. Reading this book felt like home. There were difficult parts for sure. The author did a beautiful job of presenting lived experiences and emotions readers could relate to. This book made me feel so deeply, and I adore it for that. The only reason it took me so long to finish reading it is because I was hospitalized for an illness where the medications made it impossible for my brain to focus on much for long. I am so excited to see what comes next for the Hell's Belles series.

This book deals with A Lot of heavy and triggering topics, but in my opinion is worth it. It's a good discussion with yourself on allowing you to acknowledge the pain and suffering you went through or are going through in life and allowing yourself to heal and find peace, whatever that means to you.

I have not even seen the TikTok series but several of my friends recommended this book to me so I had to give it a shot and I could not put it down. This book was a little bit of an emotional roller coaster but I enjoyed the ride greatly. I actually laughed out loud and cried on several occasions throughout this book, it kept me engaged for hours at a time. This was nothing short of impressive for a first novel, I look forward to reading more in the future.

I know it took me a bit to get through this (darn trying to fight a reading slump!). But holy heck was it worth it! This was one of my most anticipated reads of the year. And I'm glad I read it. If you've read this you'll know (especially if you already know the characters from Jayseas tiktok series Hells Belles). But this made me cry multiple times, first time being just under 200 pages. The other times were throughout the book, and nearly at the end if it. This one will stick with me for a while.

Reading this book has genuinely calmed my fears of dying. A wonderful world to be in, with lovable characters and enough scene-setting without being 90% adjectives. 
The spice is just toe curling enough without being the whole book. I’d recommend this to everyone!
