Overall I was really satisfied with this series. I liked the fact that it had a "saga" like feel to it following Dorritt and her family through over 20 years, including her son Carson in this, the final book in the Texas Star of Destiny series. One of the reasons I liked this book was the time period and the setting, Texas in the 1840s. Most Christian historical fiction is either set in the West in the late 1800s or it's set in Regency England while I like those settings it's nice to change it up every once in a while. If you're a fan of Texas history and Christian romance, I recommend this book and the entire series. Even though it is a romance I think that Her Abundany Joy could be read and enjoyed by the men out there as the author allows the reader inside the hero's head, Carson Quinn. A nice story, not perfect but still enjoyable.
