Utterly marvellous and an absolute joy. Adam Horovitz is particularly funny. This book, just like their music, is put together with a pot pourri of ideas to keep the reader hugely entertained. Be prepared to multitask and perform lots of referential Spotify or YouTube look ups however!

This is the gold standard for audiobooks, but it's even better when I read along with the physical book. Truly an experience.

I feel like if I was a more hard-core fan or had grown up with this music it would’ve been more interesting, but it was still very fun. You can tell they love music a ton and at times the references became impossible for me to follow, but that was fine lol
I do feel like this book is probably better enjoyed visually. They had some really fun different voice actors which helped keep it engaging for me, but I definitely feel like there was a lot of visual content in the book which would’ve enriched the experience.

Insightful view into the Beastie Boys. It's a series of essays written by Ad-Rockland Mike D (written after the death of Yauch, the 3rd member of the Beastie Boys). An amazing set of celebrity narrators.

Great for Uber fans. Or maybe other Musicians. I found it tedious.

Listened to the audiobook. A couple chapters don’t translate well to the audio format (long lists of songs and equipment and a recipe chapter - lol) and some narrators fall flat - but overall I found it super interesting and entertaining. Among the celeb narration highlights: Jarvis Cocker reading the London chapters and Will Ferrell reading a pretentious review of Ill Communication. Need to get my hands on a hard copy.
