Audiobook

God this feels good to mark as read. I think I've had this book sitting on my TBR shelf for legit 10 years.

Wendy totally gets screwed over during her time in Neverland. She has to cook, clean, and mother. I can completely understand why she wants to go back to the real world where she is still a kid. All the lost boys however, get to go back to the world mid-WWII. I don't know how long they've been in Neverland but that is the ultimate shitty situation to come into.

Also, are the lost boys supposed to be holocaust refugees? Or am I reading too much into it?

What a sweet tale, I’m sobbing

An enjoyable, if at times quite odd, read! It felt more like Alice in Wonderland than I was expecting, but the writing is lovely and humorous and the world enchanting.

Ik had liever gezien dat de schrijver zijn fantasie en originaliteit op een wat plezierige wijze had ingezet.
