Well... At least we got the Tinker Bell movies out of this.

I don't know much what to say about this book. I was already familiar with a majority of the story between Disney's Peter Pan and the Steven Spielberg's Hook. It was fine enough, but nothing special to me. I wouldn't go out of my way to read this one.

Such a great children's book. A unforgettable fairy tail about children and the vastness of a child's mind.

I loved the building of the world, the description of the mythical creatures (fairies, Peter Pan and all). But, I did not enjoy the adventures in the Neverland. The book was written early 1900 so the language was sophisticated, plus the “ kids” language made it slow read for mine. It was interesting in the beginning then it became children book. Although it’s written for kids, I like the mention of death, making choices and feeling lost as they are normal things that happen in life.

How had I never read Peter Pan? I love the language, the big words, the adventure and the underlying emotions. Definitely would be a fun read-aloud.

This was a major disappointment. I really wanted to read this book after seeing the Disney movie several times. I had such good memories of the film, and I expected the book to be just as good. I found it to be boring and difficult to get through. I won't be reading it again.

2.5 stars. it's magical and all, but sure is difficult to read in this day and age with how heinously indigenous people are portrayed (not to mention the misogyny & other isms)

This book was not only boring but racist and sexist. I only finished it so I could truly hate on the entire piece of writing.
