There were many great turns-of-phrase in this book, I wasn't expecting that. I wasn't expecting Tinker Bell to be petty and almost exclusively called Peter a "silly ass". That wasn't in the Disney movie!
I think the theme of not wanting to grow up is a sad one. I like how we never learn why Peter doesn't want to remember his mother. I also like how Wendy's daughter and granddaughter pick up the "Spring Cleaning" for Peter though they're mentioned but briefly at the end.
Some things did not age well, chief among them was the redskins on never land (pun intended). It was embarrassing to read how they were ignorant savages who need the help of a boy who couldn't grow up's help to defeat the pirates.
There were problems a-plenty with the book. But it's a product of it's time (the early 1900s) and should be acknowledged while still appreciated for the writing prowess.
