i liked the guest better i think but she’s a brilliant writer. her story was super atmospheric and the ending felt more concrete but i wish there had been more resolution for the present era of the book.

I struggled to finish this book, and kept wondering why it's so highly rated. It's one book that I kept thinking could have been good if the author had chosen a lane and stayed in it. I found it written in a juvenile fashion and not very deep given what could have been an intense story. Ugh...seriously...why do people like this book????
