The overall plot was kinda easy to guess about what was going wrong. Personally, I would've wanted more answers about why someone hated me so much before we banged, but i know that enemies to lovers does it for a lot of people with the high tension. the couple had good chemistry together but needed more communication to be a great couple

Bobbi and Bunty are PERFECTION.

Their relationship had a lot of long-distance and familial roadblocks but I rooted so hard for them! I loved their instant connection and the ways they could relate to each other. Their bond was so special. And HOT 🥵

Bunty gave off strong "he falls first vibes" with the energy he brought to the relationship. He was a grand gesturing, surprising type of man and a perfect book boyfriend. He had me screaming whenever he dropped a huge love bomb or made a gesture! I couldn't get enough of him.

Bobbi was so sassy and smart. I loved the way she handled her business and put people in their place. But she was also so sweet, caring, and loveable. She had such a big heart and did so much for the people in her life. It was so magical the way that Bobbi was constantly giving all her love and energy to others but Bunty would feed her and take care of her to refuel her after she was stretched too thin. They balanced each other perfectly in that regard.

Their tension and spice was HOT! From their first kiss to their last spicy scene, their moments together were FIRE. I also loved loved LOVED the commentary about kink in South Asian communities. This series is so special to me as a South Asian woman - I love that we get to have open door contemporary romances about us.

The Indian food in this book was even better and more prominent than Dating Dr. Dil with Bunty being a chef. There were so many delicious food references, it had me drooling.

Phenomenal writing, strong characters, and a steamy romance come together in Tastes Like Shakkar to create the most wonderful reading experience you won't want to miss.
