The way I ateeee this book up and left no crumbs. Watching Bobbi and Benjamin circle each other and pretend that the chemistry isn't off the charts pulled me in right away. Really appreciated the true depiction of dealing with pressures from parents to do what they want and disregarding your feelings. This book had me kicking my feet and giggling like a little girl.

This was a fun read, not my favorite in the romance genre because some of the characterization was a little too much telling rather than showing. But it was a good time and I’ll probably read the others in the trilogy. I know better the Shakespeare plays that the others are retellings of than I knew this one’s inspo (much ado about nothing) so I might enjoy them more for that also.

Beautiful retelling of “Much Ado About Nothing” amidst the color and chaos of a Desi wedding. Bobbi and Bunty are Beatrice and Benedict, and their verbal sparring has plenty of overt references to all my favorite parts of the original text (“Doth not the appetite alter? A man loves the meat in his youth that he cannot
endure in his age” becomes “I used to hate steak when I was a kid. Now I love it.”) Also there’s bicoastal angst and two people trying to do the most for their friends and family before ultimately choosing to follow their bliss. What’s not to love?!

I enjoyed reading this for the first half. I loved all of the cultural references and jokes and found all of the characters relatable/lovable. I did think it went on for a while and the relationship between Bunty and Bobbi seemed a little rushed and forced. After the halfway point the book dragged for me a little bit and I think the ending was a little rushed as well. The reveal of the sabotager was also not super satisfying but overall I enjoyed it

Great follow up to Dating Dr. Dil. I enjoyed the central romance and the mystery of the wedding saboteur. I found myself wishing for more of the aunties, though. I can’t wait to read the next one!
