I expected so much more from this from Dating Dr Dil, but it didn’t live up the hype. However I loved how much it ventured into what’s normally taboo topics in SAsian communities

Another Indian romance to read for an Indian wedding! I timed this book perfectly to coincide with my best friend’s wedding, and I’m very happy I did. All the little wedding planning details were a great refresher, and I got to consume vast quantities of the very food I was reading about (but, of course none of it was on Bunty’s level).

But back to the book: Bunty and Bobbi positively smoulder on the page. I’ve been so excited to see their love story, since I read Dating Dr. Dil, and Nisha Sharma did not disappoint! This story was even hotter in many ways than the first, and you can tell the author did her research.

I could really relate to the troubles the couple faced to not only be emotionally vulnerable but to make time for one another. As an adult, it’s so hard to genuinely make time for dating alongside the demands of friends, family, and work. This book tackled that problem thoughtfully and realistically. I could take or leave the mystery subplot, although it gave us plenty of quality time with the aunties, which I loved!

I was so pleased that this story was far more dramatic than the real-world wedding, and that’s all I could ask for. I simply can’t wait for the next book! I’m so curious about what depths Veera and Deepak are hiding. Only time will tell!

ARC provided by Edelweiss and Avon. All thoughts are my own.
