I think I just wasn’t in the mood for this maybe? I don’t know why but it fell flat for me. I can’t put my finger on it.

OKAY. MS. SHARMA. I NEED YOU TO GET IN YOUR DRAMA BAG MORE. Dare I say, the best parts about this book weren’t even the couple?? Let’s lean less into the smut and more into the Shakespeare/Bollywood combo because when you had it, YOU HAD IT!

One of my biggest annoyances with this book was that we would get these wonderful scenes or situations that naturally would lead into the next scene but then they would be cut short and we’d jump several days in the future into a text chain. Let the story develop more! Give us more of the world they live in and the circumstances they’re facing! The material was there and it was just out of our grasp the whole time

This was incredible. This was my first Nisha Sharma book- and will not be my last. I was so captivated by the culture- the language- everything. I was googling everything and just learning so much more. BENJAMIN AKA BUNTY?! I love him. I need him. He is hot, sexy, and has mouth on him. I loved Bobbi's confidence and how she was unapologetically herself. How she stands up for herself and doesn't take less than she deserves. THE SPICE IN THIS BOOK!? I did not see it coming but best believe I was LIVING for it. I need more of Nisha Sharma's writing. I will read anything she writes. This book hit it off for me- and I will never not recommend it.

Loved:
- the chemistry between the MCs
- actually a fat love interest not vaguely "plus sized"
- as a much ado about nothing adaptation, it's pretty good

Meh:
- pacing. The middle dragged
- the mystery felt dragged out as well

Sweet, kinky, and fun
