It gets an extra star since it snapped my daughter out of a temper tantrum today. Me? I'd rather read the Very Hungry Caterpillar.

It's ok...irritates me that they use a blue horse...why not make it accurate like the others. Also the whole teacher thing...I guess they're the only ones meant to read it??

My son is currently obsessed with this book. He's writing his own. He reads it to me. He reads it to his brothers. He invented a song.

A nice short story that worked well for Baby Lapsit and would work well for a call and response read at story time!

My kid has a pretty extensive library for his age (10 months) and yet this is the one book he throws at me several times a day while making an "mmmmm" sound to indicate he wants me to read it to him. He loves the big bold illustrations and the repetitive rhythmic text. So, 5 stars I guess?

I wish I could tell you what makes this book so good. It’s like an x-factor that I just don’t understand. It gets requested for read alouds all the time and as a parent, I don’t cringe when it’s chosen.
