I really enjoyed my time with this book. I loved the setting of the Greek Villa and the descriptions were vivid - it made me want to go on holiday there!
It was great to be able to read from multiple perspectives and to to learn about each character and their relationships together!
For me I found it was a slow read, with lots happening at the end but I did enjoy the reveals and the twists - it just wasn't mind blowing.

[2023 BEACH BOOK 3]
This is such a good summer thriller and was the perfect beach book. The setting was beautiful and felt so real. I also loved the discussion of complex female friendships and the difficulties of motherhood. This book was just everything I love in a thriller: a great setting, compelling characters, and twists that were surprising and yet felt so inevitable and realistic. If you are looking for a good summer mystery this is for you.

I thought One of the Girls was going to be a who done it read, but I was thoroughly surprised.
With most suspense thrillers it’s a slow burn for the first half of the book, building up each character image and letting you get your own thoughts on what everyone is like, who you like, who you dislike.
With the hen do coming to an end it seems they’ve all been keeping their secrets about who they are and significant things from their pasts. The last 30% of the book really picks up with all the lies that have been stringing along falling into place followed by a nice little visit from someone. Who happens to be the holder of that bill of string with the most secrets.
I did not expect the ending of One of the Girls, being who would end up killed etc. but the ‘epilogue’ ended off the book just nicely.
Definitely a recommended for those who love slow burn, suspense and twists.
