- The pacing is inconsistent, as the book starts very slow for 100 pages or so, and continues to gradually pick up speed until the end. I'm glad I stuck with it because when the secrets are revealed, they're dramatic, and the ending is tense
- Every few chapters, the book has a page of reflection about the to be murder or murderer, which (until page 300 or so) just feels like a break in the flow and acts as a source of frustration. I wanted the author to either hurry up with the murder plot or stop interrupting the story
- Overall, feels a bit like a slow to start feminine cross between Glass Onion and One of us is Lying
