I've recently felt like maybe I'm burnt out of thrillers, but this one caught me by surprise. It was twisty in the right places without being ridiculous or dragging. The characters felt well-developed, which often falls to the wayside in these kinds of stories. I just had a lot of fun with the plot. There was lots that I saw coming but other parts took me totally by surprise, which was a lot of fun!

I've probably read way too many thrillers in the past few years, but it's still a go-to genre for me, so it's always fun to find a good one!

Lucy Clarke…. She’s quickly becoming one of my fav thriller authors. Just.. wow! I admit she’s excellent in creating red herrings! And though I guessed one mystery right very quickly, I missed so many others and was audibly gasping and talking to the book towards the end! It’s such a fantastic read and I highly recommend it! Also, always remember the third and most important rule: what happens at the hen party, stays there! 🤐🤐

My first read on my kobo and I breezed through it!

Ah! Where do I begin. Aside from the joy and convenience the kobo has brought into my life, this book was a treat. I thought it was really well written for a escapist thriller and murder mystery, with thorough world-building and character development. Each character distinct, alive and believable.

The vibes were 🧚‍♀️immaculate🧚‍♀️. My favourite were the food descriptions and Eleanor’s breakfast preps every morning. My favourite chapters were Robyn and Eleanor’s and my least favourite was Lexi’s. Ana and Fen’s chapters were the hardest to read.  The irony of not caring too much about the bride’s story when the entire mystery happens during a hen weekend.

As the book progressed, it became harder to get through simply because I didn’t one any of them to be the person found dead. Perhaps because I devoured the book, but I had grown to liking them, which rarely happens to me in thrillers.

Overall, a great read! I wish I read this on holiday. Would’ve been a great plane/airport read. But an off-day reading sprint isn’t too shabby either.

Knocked off a star for the predictable ending; though it did make me teary-eyed!

Oh I loved this! A gripping, pacey and twisty read with lots of secrets to uncover. And then on the flip side it was also a really lovely look at female friendships and identity.

I loved this fast paced, twisty, psychological thriller. It was a quick read, binge-worthy, with a pretty good twist ending that reminded me a bit of Big Little Lies (Iykyk). This was my first Lucy Clarke book, I can’t wait to read more by her. I loved the setting of Greece, the bachelorette party (hen do) as they call it in England. The short alternating chapters kept the pace of the book moving. This one kept me turning pages wondering what was going to happen at the end. All the characters had secrets which also made the plot line more interesting. This had all the elements of a good thriller: lies, secrets, and one person who will unravel it all. Definitely pick this one up if you’re looking for a quick read by the pool or the beach! Thank you Netgalley and G.P. Putnam Sons for the e-galley in exchange for an honest review!
