I would actually give this book 4.9 stars. I like really really loved it and I think it’s one of the greatest book I’ve ever read.
I’ve seen a lot of people compare this book to gossip girls and actually agree with them and in the best way possible except for this kind of invest  but I think this book has everything a book needs to keep the reader interested it’s got mystery kind of murder it has romance maybe less smut than what I’m used to lol but it had friendship and betrayalin MULTIPLE POVS which  I really loved as almost everything about this book I wouldn’t give it five stars because but  I think it’s very close to flawless

I wanted to enjoy this book slightly more than I did. It drew me in and was un-put-down-able, but more in the way a sketchy reality TV show is. The characters were vibrant and life-like, and while there were definitely some I rooted for, there were some that I was... less enamoured with, which is still strong characterization. I was hoping to find it a little less romance-y, but really, no major compalints. I think that it was simply not quite to my personal tastes.

This was an audiobook and I greatly enjoyed it. YA sci-fi is how I'd describe it. I'd love be to see this as a movie or a show, mostly to see what the tower would look like IRL. I had a hard time imagining it, especially because of the grandeur of it all. It'd be fun to see!

Anyway, I thought I'd love Leda, ended up despising her. I was sure Eris would piss me off, she ended up being my favourite.

Looking forward to the next two years installments.

This book is full of drama, drama, drama! The main theme of the drama seems to stem from the socio-economic differences which was a surprise, but also the usual suspects: teen relationship drama, rich people problems, drug addiction, and (not so usual) incest.

The story follows a bunch of characters who all live in the same skyscraper tower in futuristic New York City (a pretty nifty setting if I'm honest, it showcases the class divide pretty well). Some characters I enjoyed, some I couldn't get myself to care for at all. I found myself wanting more of Eris and Muriel, more of Rylin and Cord, and their respective plotlines; and less of the Avery and Atlas incest, and less of the unhinged drug addict that was Leda. You learn a lot about them and their lives and no conflict truly happens until the last quarter. I was truly aghast at the ending! Completely blindsided me. From the start you know someone goes splat, but holy mother of God! That ending makes me want to pick up the next book ASAP.

Book 153 towards my goal of 290! 4/5 stars for this YA scifi set in the future. Set in future New York City, people's "rank" is determined by which floor of this building they live on. This one is such a tough one to review because I don't want to give anything away! I love this cover. A full cast of main characters. Some likeable, some not. Some morally grey.....some even more morally grey lol I'll read anything Katharine McGee writes. Highly recommend. There are a few trigger warnings for this one.

A dramatic, glittery, and dark story about 5 17-ish unrelated teens. I read this book over the course of 16 days, which is probably my record. I did not like it, it was a bit too dramatic at times.
