I really enjoyed this fascinating scientific approach to manifesting your best life, but I can't exactly recommend this old-timey self-help book since it is rife with sexism and tinged with racism. If you do want to read this book, I'd recommend buying a used copy and literally crossing through these problematic parts. I like to write things like "Absolutely not" or "I rebuke" in the margins. Then I forget about them. This is, after all, one of the thought strategies the author recommends.

Reasonable concepts but definitely a product of it's time.

Fantastic book from a plastic surgeon who noticed patterns in changed behavior, and linked results to self-esteem. Amazing how much we control our own destiny by our own perceptions of ourselves and others!
