Thank you to Talk Nerdy 2 Me and the authors, R.E Bond and C.A Rene, for providing a copy of The Reaper Incarnate (Reaped book 0.5). I have reviewed honestly.
The Reaper Incarnate features, but is not limited to, the following themes:
○ Dark romance
○ Reverse harem
○ Prostitution
○ Human trafficking
○ Violence
○ Murder
○ Sex
○ Some MM scenes
My overall rating for The Reaper Incarnate is…
5 Stars!
This book is messed up in the most disturbingly, delicious way. This is definitely a book for the open minded only. Selene, our main character, is a fiesty b****. She's a prostitute with vengeance on her mind and an unquenchable thirst for blood. Then we have our four boys. Disturbed, callous and sadistic. They each have their own unique personality traits which is important in a reverse harem situation. Now, if you can get past the violence, blood and obscene prostitution scenes, you'll get some absolutely steaming sex scenes! Sex scenes with questionable acts of course. You just can't have love-making when it's between a bunch of psychopaths. This is also a novella, and I'm not usually one to read novellas, but this is definitely one of those ones you must read first. The character developments in this tale feel crucial to the building series.

This. Is. Incredible. The cover. The words. The story. THE CHARACTERS. I'm so incredibly happy that this will be a series because if I don't get more of Selene and those crazy, violent, slightly scary boys, I'll cry. I cannot wait to see what comes of this and I'm completely hooked already. It was beautiful. Super dark. But...yes!

I liked the concept of a female reaper that avenges victims of powerful men who abuses their power… What I didn’t like it the complete lack of consent throughout the entire book. Everything seemed so… forced in my opinion.
Graphic: Child abuse, Gun violence, Pedophilia, Rape, Trafficking, and Murder
Minor: Blood

It was a bit hardcore but I kinda loved Selena. The book was very fast pace and I want it a bit more substance to the characters. I felt like there was a lot of chemistry but not a lot of bonding I guess. Additionally when I found the book on kindle I didn’t see that there was going to be M/M.
So yeah I’m not going to continue with the story.
