The Reaper Incarnate by C.A. Renee and R.E. Bond is the first story in the Reaped Series. Wow-what a book it was! I was hooked and loved every minute of it. It was so dark and I loved it! This book reminded me a lot of Den of Vipers by K.A. Knight and it was one of my favorites, so this one is defiantly up at the top of my list!
This book is told from dual points of view by Selene and Zander, with a bonus by another member. Selene is a vigilante and goes after bad guys. While on the job she ends up meeting Zander, Santos, Darius, and Blaze on the job. All of the 5 main members have had some darker pasts. Selene now is very dark as we can tell since she calls herself the Reaper Incarnate, and goes after those who torture and abuse others. Santos and Darius also are very dark and they realize Selene fits right up their ally.
Selene likes all 4 guys, so things happen.
That's all I'm going to say for now, because you need to go in blind! Let me just say that this book was dark and amazing. I don't have any trigger warnings, but there were a few moments in the book that might get to others.

Dark & Gritty.
This series has been on my TBR for a while. I’m so glad to be getting to it. I love they crazy/psycho personalities of the MC’s. Selene (FMC) had a rough childhood and knows how to use her body to make others pay. The steamy scenes in this WhyChoose romance are dark and gritty. Can’t wait to dive into book 2! This book was insane. First of all I love both of these authors. They have an amazing writing style but man oh man do they go dark. This book is not for the faint of heart. Selene is a messed up yet fierce FMC. She is the way she is due to the past trauma of loosing her sister. Throughout the book she gets tied in with Santos, Zander, Blaze, and Darius. Santos cracks me up with his banter, but ya he is psycho but so is Selene. She ends up working with them to find her sister and get revenge. I loved how this book needed. I need to know what happens next. If you can handle dark (trigger warning), steamy, action packed books then this is for you!

What a book! These authors killed it! The story was interesting from the beginning with a fierce FMC, that is unapologetically herself. Very well written and absolutely crazy! Huge Den of Vipers vibes! Very intense read!

Beware, this book is NOT for the faint of heart. If you don't like blood, gore, and a down right fucked up MC then don't bother. However, if you crave a psycho bad ass woman who isn't afraid to use her sexuality to take out equally nasty people then you've come to the right place.
Selene is a woman on a mission. To take out scumbags who prey on innocent women, men, and children. Her methods may be unorthodox but hey, she gets the job done. Best part is, no body has a damn clue who she us. After all, she's the Reaper for a reason.
Zander is the son of her biggest target, and it doesn't help that sonny dearest is hot as sin. But a jobs a job, and maybe she can kill two birds with one stone. That is, until plans go awry and Selene finds herself mixed up with Zander and his sadistic friends. They think she's just some hooker, a play toy to pass the time. They don't know that they definitely met their match.

Look- the spice was off the charts. I'm definitely a simp for Santos. Something about the unhinged golden retriever really does it for me apparently. It has all the pieces that I usually adore- a badass woman killer, four hot dangerous men that would die for her, but its lacking in emotional connection. They all like to fuck each other, sure, but them being in love? I don't really feel it. Still I have hope that maybe we'll get some more emotional connection between them further in the series?
