I think the second book in this new series might have even been better than the first. I loved the whole thing for much the same reasons I loved the first. I think it's such a smart, well written book and even better for kids expanding their vocabularies and showing all the different ways you can solve problems, make a difference and be smart. A truly inspiring work.

What a fun book - kept the action going just like the first and the characters are better developed and even more endearing. Can't wait for the next one in the fall.

I found the setting of the first book more interesting/entertaining than this. This one hasn’t quite got the charm. Still pretty good, though, setting aside the terrible mistreatment of S.Q.

Doesn't hit the cult classic level of the first, but a remarkable sequel to a series I adored as a kid and continue to read with a warm smile.
