First review:
Oh my goodness! What a book! So good! No words! It's official Anthony Horowitz is the master of cliffhangers!

Second review:
I forgot how many twists there are in this book. it's like there's twist after twist.

this book is so different from the other books, I'm astounded. It's not necessarily better but I applaud Anthony Horowitz for creating this masterpiece!!

Alex is much more mature in this. Not that he wasn't in the other books but he is particularly mature in this one.

in my opinion, this is one of the better alex rider books because he actually works for the baddies for a bit. granted, it is because he thinks his father worked for them but Its still strong character development which is rare in these books (not that that's a bad thing - it's just nice to see SOME at least)

This one took me a little bit longer to finish. I'm not sure why I didn't enjoy it as much, but things really picked up by the ending! I'm all the more excited to move onto Ark Angel now! One less star this time, but I hope for better in the next book.

The Alex Rider series is formulaic, but it's an entertaining formula. In this entry we find out more about Alex's father and his journey from decorated army officer to assassin for the super-criminal group Scorpia.

Honestly, I got so sad when they revealed the real reason why and how his parents really died.

This one is by far my favourite of all the Alex Rider books—apart from no. 10: Russian Roulette, Yassen’s book—it really shows how much MI6 and everyone else in his life lies to him, for the “greater good”.

I just want to jump into the book and give this boy a hug ffs.
