Absolutely marvelous. My top book in the Discworld series so far. Vimes is such a sympathetic character, and his ragtag Nightwatch crew is endless fun.

This, of the books I've read so far (I'm reading in chronological order), feels very much like Pratchett hitting his stride. It has all the markers of his style from previous books, but it all blends even more beautifully and seamlessly together than its predecessors. More funny, more magical, and more touching, "Guards! Guards!" was a fantastic introduction to this new cast of characters on the Discworld.

I can't wait to see them again.
