The Bestie’s Party On is book four in The Besties series by Arena & Jellett and is perfect for brand new readers. Bursting with adorable illustrations and large easy to follow print, this beginner chapter book is sure to delight young minds.
The book centers on the completely endearing friendship between Ruby and Olive as they test out all the awesome games and food planned for Ruby’s birthday party later that day. Before long the two are getting into mischief and then the party starts, and the rest of Ruby’s friends show up.
What I loved most about this book is that once the entertaining story ends the fun doesn’t stop. The last few pages are full of fantastic activities and bonus content for kids! From instructions on how to make your very own pinata (messy but fun), to learning how to play happy birthday on a ukulele (I now have a new skill!). There are even some G rated jokes included that will invoke giggles!
If you’re looking for a series to start your children on that is safe and entertaining, then this is a great series to start collecting.
