One of my beloved books from childhood. Rereading as a grown up it gives me a nostalgic happy heart skip and I'm back in my old bedroom reading wrapped up in the duvet illuminated by the night light. Love DWJ

Melhor livro da serie ate o momento. Fiquei com vontade de reler Enchanted Life agora, pois tem varias referencias.

If you gave Christopher a choice, he'd be back at school playing cricket with his best mates. But instead because he's got nine lives he's been designated as the next Chrestomanci and forced to live in a mansion of people he can't stand, and who can't stand him.

Luckily he's always got The Place Between to slip off to while dreaming where he meets up with Tacroy, a dreamer for hire who is conducting all sorts of experiments for Christopher's uncle, and there's also the Goddess who Christopher really should be bringing more books to.

Lovely weaving together of the world.

The story was very compelling at first... less so as the book went on. It was still an enjoyable read, but the ending just ruined it for me. I hate stories in which every single loose end gets quickly tied up in an unreasonably perfect way. I just didn't believe that Ralph would be defeated so easily, Christopher's parents would reconcile at the drop of a hat, or the Asheth temple priestess would save up a bunch of money in order to save the living Asheth and send her to boarding school. I felt like the entire ending was a rush to wrap up every story line in the fastest and most feel-good way possible.

wow this whole book is really just christopher dying all over the place and cats huh <3

I really like this book. Christopher is sweet, and the Goddess is amazing.
