This was a great collection of short stories. The ones that stood out the most for me and were 5 star stories in my book are as follows:

First Impressions-A masterfully told tale which completely misdirects the reader into believing in first impressions.

Stopover-A stopover in the middle of nowhere, but is it?

Dark Halo-Sometimes migraines come for a reason. Sometimes the reason is guilt.

Cutting Slack-doesn't always mean what you think it means. I liked the wordplay in this title.

Hoax-I don't even know how to describe this one. But it's GOOD.

Obedient Flies-Sometimes you find out the narrator isn't all she's cracked up to be.

Malevolent Night-Think twice the next time you see a homeless person.

Out of the 13 stories contained within, these 6 really rocked my world. Even within this short format, Mr. Gifune is able to make the reader feel and think. If you enjoy short stories that contain some depth and make you reflect on your life and views, I would highly recommend this collection.
