An epic, a journey. It is a sibling book, an immigrants journey, a doctors ordeal. It is balanced and important and I think about it all the time. I could not even believe some of the things that happened- beautiful, poignant and everlasting.

idk what to say except this just didn't really work for me. I was bored most of the time. I didn't care about what was happening. I was tired of weird sexual situations involving minors. I just didn't really care. 

objectively well written--i've enjoyed his other stuff! The historical side was interesting, didn't know most of that. I'm not sure what was wrong, but this just fell flat.
