404 pages and she didn't say "throne of glass" once.

I actually really enjoyed this! The plot was interesting and enticing - I found myself reading two or three chapters a night - and I think she set up the rest of the series well. I haven't been the biggest SJM fan in the past, but this one was pretty good! And hey only one "vulgar gesture" ;)

Well I did loved this book three years ago when I first read it. There were some things that I don't like but not that much so it's five stars anyway.

So many people have told me that I just needed to get through this book in order to enjoy the series but holy hell this was a wonderful adventure. If it only gets better from here, I wonder if my heart will be able to take it.

It was a decent book that has a very YA feel while reading. It could be hard at times to suspend my disbelief but the characters were all loveable for for.

It was ok.   I'm hoping book 2 is better.
